东华大学材料学院教授。现任东华大学材料科学与工程学院院长，纤维材料改性国家重点实验室主任；兼任第七届国务院学位委员会材料科学与工程学科评议组成员、教育部高等学校材料类专业教学指导委员会副主任委员(2018-2022)、中国材料研究学会副理事长（2016-）。长期从事纤维材料的功能化、舒适化和智能化研究，提出并建立了热塑性聚合物纤维功能化设计思路和全流程功能化技术体系，创建了介观诱导制备智能纤维的新方法。发表学术论文400余篇，授权发明专利180余件，获何梁何利科学与技术青年创新奖、首届全国创新争先奖状等。

Professor Meifang Zhu is the Dean of the College of Materials Science and Engineering of Donghua University and Director of the State Key Laboratory for Modification of Chemical Fibers and Polymer Materials; she’s also a member of the 7th State Council Academic Degrees Committee of Materials Science and Engineering Discipline, vice chairman of the National Education Advisory Committee (NEDC) of Materials Teaching (2018-2022) and Vice Chairman of the Chinese Materials Research Society (2016-present). She has focused on the functional, comfortable, and smart fibers for several ten years. She has proposed and established the ideas for the functional design of thermoplastic polymeric fibers and the technical system for the whole process, and developed the new method for producing smart fibers through mesoscopic induction. She has published more than 400 academic papers, been authorized over 180 invention patents, and honored Ho Leung Ho Lee Science and Technology Innovation Award for Youth and the 1st National Innovation Pioneer Award.
