上海大学材料基因组工程研究院院长。2011年当选中国科学院院士；2012年当选香港工程科学院院士。现兼任《中国科学：技术科学》（中英文卷）主编、中国腐蚀与防护学会荣誉理事长、中国腐蚀与防护学会环境敏感断裂专业委员会主任、中国材料学会材料基因组工程分会主任。张统一院士是材料科学和工程、及固体力学专家。目前全力推动材料基因工程，人工智能/机器学习与材料科学和工程的交叉（材料信息学），人工智能/机器学习与力学的交叉（力学信息学）。

Prof. Tongyi Zhang is the Dean of Materials Genome Institute, Shanghai University. He is member of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011; Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences in 2012. He is the editor-in-chief of "Science China: Technological Sciences", the Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection, Director of the division for Environmental Degradation and Failure of Materials and Structures in the Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection, and Director of the Materials Genome Engineering Branch of the Chinese Materials Society. Academician Tongyi Zhang is an expert in materials science and engineering and in solid mechanics. He is currently promoting materials genome engineering, materials informatics, and mechanics informatics.
