著名的钢铁冶金专家。原中国钢研集团总工程师，教授、博士生导师，享受国务院政府津贴。主要从事钢铁冶金中转炉、电炉、炉外精炼和连铸领域的研发工作。在洁净钢生产工艺、夹杂物控制和连铸质量等方面有深厚的造诣，曾与国内数十家钢厂合作开发帘线钢、重轨钢、轴承、齿轮等特殊钢产品，具有丰富的实践经验，是国内著名的冶金家。近十年来承担和参加了国家级攻关项目20余项，与大型冶金企业合作项目百余项。发表科技论文188篇（第一作者99篇），合作撰写专著1部，授权发明专利56项，获国家科技进步二等奖四项（排名前2名）以及数十项省部级科技成果奖。

Prof. Liu Liu is the former chief engineer, professor and doctoral supervisor, of Central Iron & Steel Research Institute, and famous in ferrous metallurgy. Get the State Council government subsidies. He is mainly engaged in the research and development of ferrous metallurgy converter, electric furnace, secondary refining and continuous casting, who has profound knowledge in clean steel production process, inclusion control and continuous casting quality. For years, he has been cooperated with many iron and steel enterprises to develop special steel products, such as tire cord steel, heavy rail steel, bearings and gears, and accumulated much practical experience. In the past ten years, he has undertaken more than 20 national key projects and 100 cooperation projects with large metallurgical enterprises. He published 188 scientific papers (99 first authors), 1 co-authored monograph, 56 authorized invention patents, won four second prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award (top 2) and dozens of provincial and ministerial scientific and technological achievement awards.
