Frontiers in Materials Forum @ SHU

材料是社会发展的基石。一代新材料，造就一代新装备，引领一代新产业。新材料是国家战略性新兴产业，支撑了经济与社会发展。2022年上海高校国际青年学者论坛（上海大学）材料前沿专场将立足于上海科创中心建设与长三角一体化进程的时代机遇，聚焦材料领域的前沿成果和发展趋势，聚集海内外材料领域的杰出科学家与工程师，搭建世界一流学术交流互动平台，促进材料领域的学术交流、思想碰撞与科研合作。

论坛将邀请海内外优秀青年学者，于2022年11月6日采用线上“云TALK”的模式，以供参会学者足不出户通过因特网实现面对面交流，探讨最新研究动态，促进科研交流与合作，引进海内外优秀青年人才，推动材料科学与技术的发展。本次会议由上海大学主办，上海大学材料科学与工程学院承办。

Materials form the fundament for human society. A new generation of materials may create a new generation of equipment, at the same time, lead to a new generation of industry development. Novel frontier materials can be an important driver for the strategic emerging industries. Shanghai University Leagues Forum for International Young Scholars Materials Frontier @ SHU, promoted by the construction of Science and Innovation Center in Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta, will provide exchange opportunities on the cutting-edge achievements and development trends in materials fields, gather international outstanding scientists and engineers, build a world-class academic interaction platform to motivate idea collision and research cooperation.

The forum will invite renowned international young scholars using online "cloud TALK" on November 6th, 2022, to exchange the latest research trends, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, introduce outstanding young talents and facilitate development of materials science and technology.

一、学校简介：I. Profile of SHU

上海大学是上海市属、国家“211工程”重点建设的综合性大学，是教育部与上海市人民政府共建高校、国防科技工业局与上海市人民政府共建高校，上海市首批高水平地方高校建设试点，教育部一流学科建设高校。

Being a municipal university included in national “Project 211”, SHU is jointly constructed by the Ministry of Education, Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, and the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. SHU is among the first batch of pilot projects of high-level university construction in Shanghai, and is one of the universities that focus on building their preponderant disciplines into first-rate ones on the list of the Ministry of Education.

学校现设有20个博士后科研流动站、28个一级学科博士学位授权点、8个交叉学科博士点；45个一级学科硕士学位授权点、1个二级学科硕士学位授权点（一级学科未覆盖）、22种硕士专业学位类别；94个本科专业；学科门类齐全，涵盖哲学、经济学、法学、文学、历史学、理学、工学、管理学、艺术学等学科门类；拥有4个国家重点学科、4个上海市Ⅲ类高峰学科、牵头建设1个上海市Ⅳ类高峰学科、10个上海市Ⅰ类高原学科、6个上海市Ⅱ类高原学科，10个学科进入ESI排名全球前1%。

SHU presently has 20 centers for post-doctoral studies, 28 first-class disciplines doctor’s degree conferring programs, 8 doctor stations for inter-disciplines, 45 first-class disciplines master’s degree conferring programs, 1 second-class disciplines master’s conferring programs (not covering first-class disciplines), 22 master degree categories and 94 undergraduate majors; it boasts a complete range of disciplines, covering Philosophy, Economics, Law, Literature, History, Engineering, Management, and Arts; it has 4 national key disciplines, 4 Type III peak disciplines at the municipal level, leads construction of 1 Type IV peak discipline in Shanghai, 10 Type I plateau disciplines at the municipal level and 6 Type II plateau disciplines at the municipal level, with 10 disciplines among the top 1% of ESI rankings.

学校拥有1个国家重点实验室，1个国家重点实验室培育基地，1个国家教育部国际联合实验室，3个“高等学校学科创新引智计划”（简称“111计划”）创新引智基地，3个教育部重点实验室，2个国家教育部工程研究中心，2个上海市协同创新中心，7个上海市重点实验室，6个上海工程技术研究中心，5个上海市专业技术服务平台， 3个上海高校重点实验室，1个上海高校工程研究中心。

SHU has 1 State Key Laboratory, 1 training base of State Key Laboratory, 1 international united laboratory of the Ministry of Education, 3 bases under the “Overseas Expertise Introduction Project for Discipline Innovation” (111 Project), 3 key laboratories of the Ministry of Education, 2 engineering research centers of the Ministry of Education, 2 collaborative innovation centers in Shanghai, 7 key laboratories in Shanghai, 6 engineering and technological research centers in Shanghai, 5 specialized technical service platforms in Shanghai, 3 key laboratories in Shanghai universities and 1 engineering research center in Shanghai universities.

二、学院简介 II. Profile of MSE

上海大学材料科学与工程学院现有“材料科学与工程”和“冶金工程”两个一级学科，拥有省部共建“高品质特殊钢冶金与制备”国家重点实验室。学院现有院士6人，国家级高层次人才二十余人，省部级高层次人才近五十人。学院以支撑创新驱动发展战略、服务经济社会为导向，瞄准国家、长三角区域和上海市的重大战略规划和需求，优化调整学科方向组建了多个高水平研究团队。

School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) of Shanghai University has two first-level disciplines, "Materials Science and Engineering" and "Metallurgical Engineering", and a State Key Laboratory of "Advanced Special Steel". MSE has 6 academicians, more than 20 national high-level talents and nearly 50 provincial and ministerial high-level talents. Based on the goal of supporting innovation-driven development strategies and serving the development of economy and society, MSE built several high-level research teams and optimized discipline constructions to meet the needs of major strategic plans of the Yangtze River Delta, Shanghai and the whole country.

Attending scholars will focus on the frontiers of development in the fields of materials science and engineering, discussing research hotspots and key technical problems in both academia and industries.

四、邀请对象：IV. Targets of Invitation

具有博士学位，并有连续2年及以上的海内外科研工作经历；海内外优秀博士后（2-3年博士后时间）；在海内外高校、科研机构、企业研发机构有正式教学或科研职位的优秀青年学者，有志于加盟上海大学与学校共同发展。

Excellent young scholars who received doctor’s degrees, boast two consecutive years of research experience or above; excellent post-doctors (2-3 years of experience as post-doctors); excellent young scholars with official teaching or research positions in universities, scientific research institutions or enterprise research divisions, aspiring to join Shanghai University and develop together.

1）有意参会者请于2022年10月28日之前通过邮件将个人简历（从大学至今，附有照片）和报告摘要发送至winnie0602@shu.edu.cn（材料学院），注明“国际青年学者论坛——××分会”。

Those who intend to attend the forum are expected to send the CV (from bachelor degree，with personal photo attached) and report abstract to winnie0602@shu.edu.cn for MSE before October 28th, 2022 with marking “International Young Scholars Forum——×× Subforum” on the e-mail.

2）学校对申请人进行资格审核后，于2022年11月2日前通过邮件向审核通过人员发送正式邀请函。

After reviewing the qualification of the applicants, SHU will send official invitation letters to qualified ones before November 2nd, 2022.
